About Hillsborough County Pet Resources Foundation, Inc.

The Hillsborough County Pet Resources Foundation (HCPRF) works to bring awareness to the life-saving work of Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center (HCPRC), the largest animal shelter in the Tampa Bay area and only open-admission shelter in Hillsborough County. Approximately 18,000 homeless animals are cared for at HCPRC each year.

Created in 2016, Hillsborough County Pet Resources Foundation focuses primarily on raising funds to assist with the promotion and support of all aspects of the pet programs of the Hillsborough County Pet Resources Department and the public animals in Hillsborough County. HCPRF is dedicated to providing assistance to increase the adoption of shelter pets, enhancing animal welfare, and supporting pet retention programs to keep animals out of the public shelter.

Our Mission

We strive to improve the quality of life for all pets being provided care by Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center and throughout Hillsborough County by building a community that promotes animal welfare through adoption, education, and community involvement.

Our Vision

Our vision is a community where every pet has a loving family and a safe, happy, home.
